Ur\u010dite ste vyjadrili sm\u00fatok nad t\u00fdm, \u017ee odi\u0161iel \u010dlovek, ktor\u00fd in\u0161piroval nie len svojimi knihami, ale hlavne \u013eudskos\u0165ou ktor\u00e1 z neho vy\u017earovala, rozh\u013eadom a umen\u00edm pomenova\u0165 veci presne a trefne, dokonale vystihn\u00fa\u0165 pointu tak, aby jeho slov\u00e1 zanechali odkaz. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><br>Gary bol u n\u00e1s v roku 2007, ke\u010f mi o chlp uniklo v\u00ed\u0165azstvo o Barmana roka, ke\u010f som jemu a Angusovi Winchesterovi urobil s\u00edce mo\u017eno najlep\u0161\u00ed drink, ale bol som takmer cel\u00fd \u010das po\u010das svojho vyst\u00fapenia ticho. A ke\u010f je barman ticho, tak v\u00e1m nechut\u00ed ani ten najlep\u0161\u00ed drink tak, ako by mal. <br>Gary pricestoval z Ameriky na pozvanie Stana Vadrnu a Red Monkey Group, ktor\u00fd ho priv\u00edtal v Prahe vo ve\u013ekom \u0161t\u00fdle. Stan mu rovno na letisku pripravil \u010derstv\u00fd Manhattan, zobral do luxusnej limuz\u00edny a za sprievodu hlasn\u00fdch Rolling Stones a Gogol Bordello mu mie\u0161al \u010fal\u0161ie drinky. Cel\u00fa cestu zv\u00e4\u010dnil svoj\u00edm fo\u0165\u00e1kom a jedine\u010dn\u00fdm okom fotograf Boris N\u00e9meth. Ak m\u00e1te niekde star\u00fd barmagaz\u00edn, vytiahnite si ho a \u010deknite si fotky. \u0164a\u017ek\u00fd rockandroll je c\u00edti\u0165 z ka\u017edej jednej. <br>Gary sa dal so Stanlym dokonca v Bratislave aj tetova\u0165, bolo to e\u0161te  pred ich spolo\u010dnou \u0161ichtou v Paparazzi a Stanova zn\u00e1ma \u010derven\u00e1 kerka ICHIGO-ICHIE na predlakt\u00ed je dar\u010dekom pr\u00e1ve od star\u00e9ho barmana, pre ktor\u00e9ho sa postupom \u010dasu stal takmer ako vlastn\u00fdm synom. Stan ho nav\u0161tevoval doma a bol jeho bl\u00edzky priate\u013e, preto je strata pre neho ove\u013ea silnej\u0161ia ako pre n\u00e1s, ktor\u00ed sme ho uzn\u00e1vali ako barov\u00fa osobnos\u0165. <br>Gary bol z m\u00f4jho poh\u013eadu jedine\u010dn\u00fd \u010dlovek. pre n\u00e1s, ktor\u00fd sme \u010d\u00edtali jeho \u010dl\u00e1nky, alebo sme ho stretli bol v\u017edy mil\u00fd a pr\u00edjemn\u00fd, ale ako s\u00e1m hovor\u00ed, \u017eil \u017eivot ako muziku, ktor\u00fa mal r\u00e1d. Gogol Bordello sa stali po n\u00e1v\u0161teve Bratislavy jeho ob\u013e\u00fabenou kapelou. <br>So Stanom sa na spiato\u010dnej ceste zastavili v Prahe, kde pre bar Cloud9 zv\u00e4\u010dnil na serv\u00edtku recept\u00faru drinku MARK\u00c9TA. P\u00f4vodne mala visie\u0165 zar\u00e1movan\u00e1 na stene, ale z pl\u00e1nov nakoniec vzi\u0161lo. Ktovie, \u010di sa serv\u00edtka nach\u00e1dza e\u0161te v bare, alebo si ju ulovil nezn\u00e1my \u0161\u0165astlivec. Ka\u017edop\u00e1dne niektor\u00ed \u013eudia nach\u00e1dzaj\u00fa hodnoty v darovan\u00fdch veciach a\u017e vtedy, ke\u010f sa u\u017e nem\u00f4\u017eu nikdy zopakova\u0165, \u017eia\u013e za jeho \u017eivota tomu nevedia venova\u0165 dostato\u010dn\u00fa v\u00e1hu. <br>Ako hovor\u00ed o \u0148om Stan &#8211; <em>Gary si bral in\u0161pir\u00e1ciu z r\u00f4znych trad\u00edci\u00ed a nebol prip\u00fatan\u00fd k \u017eiadnym dogm\u00e1m. Vedel sa naozaj zab\u00e1va\u0165, ale bol aj hlboko prebuden\u00fd a hlboko spiritu\u00e1lne zalo\u017een\u00fd. \u017dil naozajstn\u00e9 ICHIGO-ICHIE \u02c7<\/em><br>Gaza, ako ho za\u010dala vola\u0165 jeho man\u017eelka Amy a potom aj cel\u00fd barov\u00fd svet bol v\u00fdznamn\u00fd autor viacer\u00fdch kn\u00edh a \u010dl\u00e1nkov. Mal svoj pravideln\u00fd st\u013ap\u010dek v do San Francisco Cronicle so seri\u00e1lom Cocktails in the Country, d\u00e1val nazrie\u0165 do barov\u00e9ho sveta prostredn\u00edctvom \u010dasopisov Playboy, Wine Enthusiast a Food &amp; Wine, svojho \u010dasu p\u00edsal aj pre n\u00e1\u0161 Barmagazine. Ak sa dobre pam\u00e4t\u00e1m, jeden \u010dl\u00e1nok venoval aj m\u00f4jmu drinku, ktor\u00fd som mu pripravoval na tom fin\u00e1le Barmana Roku. <br>Gary ve\u013emi podporoval slovensk\u00fdch barmanov a mal n\u00e1s naozaj r\u00e1d. \u010casto p\u00edsal nie len o Stanlym, ale spom\u00ednal aj Erika, \u010di dokonca Ma\u0165a Hud\u00e1ka, ke\u010f e\u0161te pracoval  v Dubline. <br>Knihy s\u00fa na samostatn\u00fa kapitolu. K\u00fdm n\u00e1s v Eur\u00f3pe ovplyv\u0148oval Salvatore Calabrese, Peter Dorelli, \u010di Charles Schumann, v Amerike to bol popri Dale de Groffovi Gary Regan. Jeho knihu Joy of Mixology \u010d\u00edtali mnoh\u00ed americk\u00ed barmani cestou do pr\u00e1ce a z nej. Stala sa pre nich in\u0161pir\u00e1ciou a d\u00f4vodom, pre\u010do robi\u0165 poctiv\u00fd bartending. Poctiv\u00fd znamenal pre Garyho by\u0165 hlavne \u013eudsk\u00fd.
